Inspirational story of "Habibun Najar" the martyr

 

Today's inspirational story is about Habibun Najar's brave nature to defend goodness and truth so that his life is at stake.

This inspiring story is told by the Koran in the letter Yasin. This story takes place in the Anthakiyah area in Turkey. Namely, the residents of Anthakiyah lied to two messengers from Allah SWT to them, both of whom brought news about the oneness of Allah SWT and forbade the residents there from worshiping idols.

Because the people of Anthakiyah rejected the two envoys very strongly, Allah SWT sent another envoy to them to strengthen the preaching of the two envoys. The three envoys were named Shodiq, Masdhuq and Syam'un. Seeing that there was one more person helping the two people's preaching, the Anthakiyah residents became even more angry and promised to throw stones at the three people if they didn't stop their preaching.

The residents of Anthakiyah were angry with the three preachers because they always felt unlucky in doing anything. even though their misfortune was because they worshiped idols and were reluctant to accept the invitation from the three preachers. However, among the majority of Anthakiyah residents who were reluctant to accept the preachers' invitation, there was a person named Habibun Najar who accepted the preachers' invitation with high enthusiasm. Habibun Najar realized that the god he had been worshiping (a statue) could not provide benefits (fortune, life, etc.) and would bring harm (torture) to anyone.

Habibun Najar declared his conversion to Islam in front of many residents.

After Habibun Najar converted to Islam and submitted to Allah SWT as monotheism, Habibun Najar became a barrier for the three preachers from attacks by the residents. Not only is it a barrier, Habibun Najar also invites the residents to accept the preachers' invitation because the preachers preach without asking anything from the residents (sincerely). When Habibun Najar helped the three preachers preach, the residents of Anthakiyah became increasingly angry and tortured him even more and attacked Habibun Najar and the preachers by throwing stones at them and the residents ganged up on Habibun Najar by throwing stones and stomping on his chest and stomach until all his stomach contents came out.

In the end, Habibun Najar died defending the truth and he entered heaven and became a very noble person and was blessed by Allah because of his strong faith and tenacity in maintaining his faith even though his life and self were at stake.

After Habibun Najar died, the residents became even crazier in worshiping idols and became more vicious in attacking the three preachers. Until they challenged him by saying: Where is the proof that your teachings are true and there will be punishment for those of us who disobey your God... Not long after that, Allah SWT sent very strong winds and thunderstorms to destroy the residents of Anthakiyah. In the end, the residents of Anthakiyah were destroyed and all died.
